The primary objective of this
Eau Claire County landfill project was to provide clay from
a site 26 miles away. The borrow site was stripped and 150,000
cubic yards of clay were removed, trucked to the landfill
site and stockpiled. An additional 85,000 cubic yards of
fill was trucked in, and the removal site was finished to
the desired topography. Construction began in June 1990,
completed in December 1990.
